1. How do I enable parking monitoring mode?
You’ll need to connect your dash cam using the hardwire kit provided on the official website (this requires some automotive knowledge; if you’re not familiar with cars, we recommend having it installed at an auto shop), then enable parking monitoring mode in the dash cam’s settings.

2. Will the parking monitoring mode drain my car battery?
No. All REDTIGER dash cams include built-in low-voltage protection. If the system detects that your vehicle battery voltage is too low, parking monitoring will automatically stop to help prevent battery drain and ensure your vehicle can still start normally. Please note that if a vehicle remains unused for an extended period of time, the battery may naturally discharge.

3. Will the parking monitor overwrite the videos on my memory card overnight?

No, it doesn’t. Redtiger’s parking surveillance mode features “time-lapse recording” and “collision detection” modes.

In “time-lapse recording” mode, the video frame rate is adjusted. A video that would normally take 1 minute to record is compressed to about 8 seconds in this mode, so it doesn’t take up much storage space. (In this mode, the video plays back at double speed.)

In “Collision Detection Mode,” the camera does not record continuously; recording only starts when your vehicle is involved in a collision.
